The Reason
Whilst living through some of the most overwhelming times in my life,
I realised that using self-care rituals & creating healthy daily routines, gave me my power back,
Bringing me back to my self & grounding me, from the changes and challenges that were out of my control.
I began to channel my energy into building the AJS Selfcare brand, to bring balance to more lives than my own,
starting with AJS Skincare Rituals.
It was during Covid, whilst I was unable to offer face to face treatments & services to my many clients, that I decided to create AJS.
Knowing that a facial appointment is so much more than Skincare, it is a moment of calm & an inner reset.
I decided, providing simplistically effective skincare products & the knowledge of how and why to use them, would allow everyone to embrace the calm & reset of a facial, not just at your once a month appointment with your therapist, but every single day.

The Studio
AJS is based in the North East of England in our small hometown of Hetton-le-Hole.
The business is ran, with love, from the family home, in our purposely converted 'AJS Home Studio'.
Our formulas are made, tested and safety assessed, externally, in our trusted state of the art, GMP accredited skincare lab, by our team of chemists and are then hand bottled & hand labeled, by us, in our fully sanitised Studio.

Meet AJ ... a natural free spirit, with a passion for selfcare & skincare and a love for all things botanical, herbal & earthy.
With over 15 years of professional experience in the skincare & beauty industry, qualified in advanced skincare techniques & currently working toward two more CMA accredited Diplomas in Herbalism & Ayurveda. After having spent 8 wonderful years travelling, exploring & experiencing alternative cultural approaches to selfcare & well-being, whilst offering holistic treatments in many countries, the dream of creating ingredient aware, botanically focused skincare, was born.
In 2021 that dream, became a reality.

Meet Janice ... the inspiration and the heart behind AJS.
Forever young, the original free spirit, she taught her Daughter the true value of a happy & balanced life.
A very active and important part of the day to day running of AJS ... Janice, is involved in all aspects of Botanic.Oil but her favourite 'job' is bottling, labelling and packing hampers!
The knowledge passed down from a Mother is that of magic.
